5 Journal Prompts for Spring

Updated: Mar 18

Journaling is one of best things you can do for your mental health. I get up early every morning and just on my back porch and just write! Nothing fancy, just word vomit. Sorry, maybe that was too graphic! But you get the picture... unfortunately!

But sometimes it feels overwhelming because your mind says things like, "what do I write?" "I don't even know where to begin!" "Im not a writer!" These are all things I've said to myself, so I get it! But the point is just to start!ONce you get the momentum going, you will get the hang of it! And it feels really good to get thoughts or ideas out on paper first thing in the morning! And you can literally write ANYTHING! But here are 5 prompts to get you started:

  1. Spring is a season of renewal! What is something that I would like to refresh or renew in my life?

  2. Spring cleaning is a time to clear out all the things that are cluttering up our home or office. What thoughts or limiting beliefs are cluttering my mind that I want to "clean out" this Spring?

  1. A flower doesnt compare itself to the flower next to it, it simply blooms. In what ways will I allow myself to just "bloom"this Spring, without comparison?

  1. What would be on your ideal Spring Bucket list? What would make a perfect Spring Day? Write it out and then perhaps start to take action to make some - or all- of it happen!

  1. Spring into Action! What is something I am putting off? Why? What can I do to Spring into action and start to make things happen? Even small steps forward are steps forward!

Just remember, no one is reading, so write it all out! Put it all on paper! Draw something! Go get yourself a fresh new journal and a nice pen! Make it a treat! Make yourself a coffee or a tea and grab a cozy blanket and get to it! Write your heart out! Don't worry about spelling, punctuation, grammer, or anything!

Just write!
